PROGRAM FIELD TRIP MANGROVE BERBASIS PENGALAMAN DAN PRAKTIK BAGI PELAJAR

Mangrove adalah jenis tumbuhan yang hidup di daerah pesisir, terutama di perairan payau seperti muara sungai dan tepi laut. Mangrove memiliki akar khusus yang mampu bertahan di tanah berlumpur dan kadar garam tinggi.

Manfaat mangrove bagi manusia antara lain melindungi pantai dari abrasi dan gelombang, menjadi habitat bagi berbagai jenis ikan dan biota laut, membantu menyerap karbon sehingga mengurangi dampak perubahan iklim, serta mendukung mata pencaharian masyarakat pesisir seperti perikanan dan pariwisata.

Mengenalkan langsung apa manfaat hutan mangrove bagi manusia dan alam sekitar.
Mengenalkan langsung nama dan jenis jenis habitat pohon dan ekosistem Hutan Mangrove kepada siswa/i.
Belajar proses dan praktek langsung cara pembibitan bibit mangrove (propagul) dari indukan pohon kemudian di tanam ke media pembibitan. (sebelum nantinya di tanam liarkan ke alam)
Menggugah kesadaran siswa/i akan pentingnya melestarikan dan menjaga hutan mangrove

Experience- and Practice-Based Mangrove Field Trip Program for Students

Mangroves are a type of plant that grow in coastal areas, especially in brackish water such as river mouths and shorelines. They have specialized roots that allow them to survive in muddy soil and high salt conditions.

Mangroves provide many benefits for humans. They help protect coastlines from erosion and strong waves, serve as habitats for fish and other marine life, absorb carbon to reduce the impact of climate change, and support the livelihoods of coastal communities through fishing and tourism.

To directly introduce the benefits of mangrove forests for humans and the surrounding environment.
To familiarize students with the names, types of habitats, and ecosystem of mangrove forests.
To learn and practice the process of mangrove seedling propagation (propagules), from parent trees to nursery planting media (before eventually being planted in the wild).
To raise students’ awareness of the importance of preserving and protecting mangrove forests.
